SAE Aero Design

SAE International, initially established as the Society of Automotive Engineers, is a U.S.-based, globally active professional association and standards developing organization for engineering professionals in various industries. Principal emphasis is placed on transport industries such as automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicles.
The SAE Aero Design competition is a real‐world design challenge designed to compress a typical aircraft development program into one calendar year, taking participants through the system engineering process of breaking down requirements. It exposes participants to the nuances of conceptual design, manufacturing, system integration/test, and sell‐off through demonstration.
SAE Aero Design, also called the SAE Aero Design Collegiate Design Series, is a series of competitive mechanical engineering events held in the United States and Brazil every year. It is conducted by the SAE International. It is generally divided into three categories: Regular class, Advanced class and Micro class.
We participate every year in the SAE Aero Design competition held annually in the USA. We have been consistently performing well across the competitions we have taken part in, winning many accolades in the process. We achieved an Overall World Rank of 7 while also attaining World Rank 1 in Design Report and World Rank 3 in the Oral Presentation at the SAE Aero Design East 2018. We also achieved a World Rank of 4 and 5 in the 2017 and 2016 editions respectively.
